How Much Does A Celebrant Cost In Canberra?
My fee depends on the service you choose. My Wedding Service is $900 and covers everything from our first chat to lodging your paperwork. My Alternative Wedding Service, a simpler ceremony with a small number of guests, is priced by negotiation.
Here's what each includes, and what can add to the cost:
- Wedding Service – $900: as many meetings, emails and calls as you need, your personal story written into the ceremony, a resource folder of ideas, all the legal paperwork, attending your rehearsal (no extra cost unless it's outside Canberra), a PA and signing table on the day, a Wedding Certificate to keep, and lodging your marriage.
- Alternative Wedding Service – negotiable: a short, personal and legal ceremony at a location of your choice or my home, including all the legal paperwork and lodging your marriage. It doesn't include the personal story or a rehearsal.
- Travel: I'm based in Gungahlin and happy to travel to regional NSW. Travel costs outside Canberra are negotiable.
- Deposit: a non-refundable $200 deposit at our first paperwork meeting locks in your date, and the balance is due two weeks before the wedding.
- Your official certificate: once I've registered your marriage, you order the official marriage certificate from Births, Deaths and Marriages, which charges its own fee. I'll send you the link.
Wedding With The Works!
- The Ceremony You will get a beautiful and personalised ceremony.
- Communication I will be available to communicate either by email or face to face to discuss the ceremony as often as you would like.
- Rehearsal I will be available for the rehearsal at your request.
- The Legals I am a registered Marriage Celebrant and I will lodge all the paperwork with the Births, Deaths and Marriages Department, in the state or territory where the wedding was conducted.
The Intimate Wedding
A cheaper option, if you want a simple, affordable but still personal ceremony. This ceremony may be at a location of your choice or my home, with a small number of guests.
